After introducing several Cuban cigars, including the Hoyo de Monterrey, Montecristo and Cohiba, Terry Pomerantz now presents Fonseca cigars.
History of Fonseca Cigars
At the age of 22, Don Francisco Fonseca founded his cigar factory in Havana. Living in New York and regularly travelling to Cuba to visit his factory, Don Fonseca came up with the idea of incorporating a depiction of the Statue of Liberty as well as the Morro Lighthouse of Havana in his brand’s logo.
An innovator, Don Fonseca was the first manufacturer to use metal tubes to preserve each individual cigar.
Today, the Fonseca brand belongs to the Garcia family, to whom also belongs the My Father cigar brand.
Where are Fonseca Cigars Made?
Fonseca cigars are produced in Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

The Main Qualities of Fonseca Cigars
Elegant and wrapped in a white silk paper, each Fonseca cigar is made with Nicaraguan tobacco and covered with a Rosado Corojo wrapper. The cigars offer an earthy and spicy profile. “These medium-bodied, light and smooth cigars are perfect after a light meal. Fonseca cigars suit both beginners and aficionados alike,” remarks Terry Pomerantz.
